Pomegranate is a fruit-bearing deciduous shrub

or small tree that grows about 5 ~10m tall.

It's been used for Indian Ayurvedic traditionally,

especially for anti-parasitic, ulcers and diabetes.

Recently new article of ABC, Adulterants Bulletins

focus on the fruit, fruit juice, and extract products,

which can be dehydrated pomegranate juice or extracts made from

pomegranate fruit and/or fruit parts by using a solvent

often after the juice has been removed by mechanical pressing.

Extraction of the seeds provides an oil rich in fatty acids,

notably the unique punicic acid, which is of growing interest

in the ‘cosmeceutical’ industry as well.
